How I overcame interview stress to land the perfect job!
by Erick Vas
Going into my first interview created stress and anxiety. The entire time I excelled at staying relaxed while speaking but greatly struggled to recall personal skills and experiences to prove my ability to accomplish the position’s tasks. I left the interview needing crucial interview tips and pointers. Days later I attended the UCSO’s Last-Minute Interview Prep session to hear professional advice and have my questions answered. I discovered having my own resume in front of me in interviews displayed neither unprofessionalism nor awkwardness. The following interview developed into a smooth conversation about my resume’s experiences aligning with the needs of the employer. Thanks to the interview workshop I received an offer from that interview one week later. Now I proudly will work in Indianapolis as a finance intern for IU Health this summer.
