October is another busy time with fall recruiting, especially with interviews! With classes, exams, extracurricular activities, things are starting to get overwhelming! Don’t worry, we are here to help YOU through it all, so Keep Calm and Read on!
NETWORK, NETWORK, NETWORK!
It’s more about WHO you know, not necessarily WHAT you know. Don’t let career fairs and networking nights be your only recruiting event. Visit companies’ virtual info sessions, office hours, and meet & greets, to network with as many employers and recruiters as you can to increase your chances of achieving those career opportunities! Log into Handshake to check out the schedule and register. Our LAST Employer Networking Night (ENN) for fall semester is on Tuesday, October 12, from 5p.m. – 7p.m. Don’t miss out!
RESUME BOOKS – ARE YOU IN THEM?
Just having your resume on your Handshake profile does NOT mean your resume will always be available for interested employers. You want to be included in our resume books so our Office can make these available to employers at their request. A resume book is a digital compilation of students’ resumes, by major and graduation year, and it makes it easier for our Office to promote YOU to our employers. These will help you to become more noticeable to companies so follow these steps to be included in our resume books!

FAKE COMPANIES! BEWARE!

NEVER send money or provide personal information to a potential employer and report possible scams to KelleyUCS@iu.edu. If you suspect something is fraudulent, DO NOT RESPOND. Make sure you do your thorough research and be cautious of suspicious postings!
