Accounting

Accountants add value to society by helping people make important financial decisions such as providing information that people need to run companies, make investments and loans, and make strategic decisions. Their responsibilities include compiling, analyzing, verifying, and preparing financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and tax returns. Accountants are organized, possess high integrity, and are effective communicators and problem solvers since they’re always interacting with clients and using ever–improving technology to interpret financial reports, tackle complex problems, and predict the future. The accounting profession offers many different career paths such as audit, tax, consulting, information technology systems, financial analysis, legal, and many other areas.
