Promotes greater sales and customer satisfaction by gaining a better understanding of the consumers of goods and services produced by a company. Retail management includes all the steps required to bring the customers into the store and fulfill their buying needs.
Brand Management
Analyzes and plans how a brand is positioned in the market, which target public the brand is targeted at, and maintains a desired reputation of the brand. Managers create a relationship or a connection between a company’s product and emotional perception of the customer.
Marketing Intelligence
Business Analytics / Social Media Identifies and assesses how changing elements of the marketing mix impact customer behavior. Responsibilities include researching and managing data for accuracy, comparing and contrasting new research with established norms, and analyzing primary and secondary data for the purpose of market forecasting, or managing social media channels.
Consulting
Perform database analysis, financial modeling, general business analysis, research, and generate reports for the client or project team. In addition, consultants are actively involved in the application and transfer of specific skills and knowledge to the client. Typically work for a firm in the professional services industry on project–based work with an external client.Â
Entry-Level positions in Marketing Communications or Advertising
Aides clients with all aspects of marketing their product or service, from strategy and concept through execution. Helps clients make high–level business decisions, such as determining which new products to develop, or how to brand or define itself to the world.
